When to Go


Myanmar features three main seasons: the cool season is from October to February, the wet season from June to September and the hot season from March to May. The best time to visit Myanmar is from October to February when the temperatures are cooler with litter rain and moderate. If you plan to visit during this season, please plan your visit well in advance as the country will become extremely busy. The wet and hot season has some advantages as it has fewer tourists and price of services are lower. The wet season with heavy rain mainly in the afternoon will brings Myanmar’s lush landscapes to life. But it’s rarely affect touring around countries.

Mandalay

November to Febuary

Hot and humid from March to July, the rains come from May to October, though it is still mostly sunny.

Bagan

May to January

Temple touring is best from May to January when days are cooler. Light rain from May to October doesn't affect touring.

Kalaw & Pindaya

November to April

These trekking areas in the mountains don't get hot, but paths can get slippery in the web season from May to October.

Inle Lake

Year round

Cooler than nearby Mandalay and Bagan, this is a pleasant retreast even in hot season from March to July.

Ngapali Beach

November to April

A perfect beach escape from November to April, most resorts close in the low season when monsoon hits.

Yangon

November to January

This year round destination is hottest in March and April. Afternoon downpours from May to October rarely affect travel.

Visa to myanmar


When visiting Myanmar, all citizens are required to have visa to enter the country. Single entry tourist Visa valid for 28 days and up to 3 months from the date of issued. We suggest to process for visa a month in advance and the process will takes 7 working days to get approval.

E-Visa to Myanmar

Citizens of 100 countries can apply for tourist visas online via Myanmar's Ministry of Immigration and Population at the following websitehttp://evisa.moip.gov.mm.

The cost of the visa is US$50. You will be emailed with an approval letter once your application is processed. You are required to print out the letter and show it to the passport official on arrival at the airport or at land crossing borders with Thailand. Then you will get Visa stamped in to the country.

E-visas can be used at the following international airport: Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw. It’s also can be used at three Thailand–Myanmar land border crossings: Myawaddy, Tachileik, and Kawthoung.

Note: A valid passport for at least six (6) months from the expiry date, 02 recent passport-sized photos required as well.
